Emily's Ashes was formed in early 2008 by pure fate. Right place at the right time is the best way to describe the beginning of this band. Two of the band members are native Floridians, another is from Massachusetts and another is from Alabama. An open mic night at a local micro-brewery in Florida was the setting for their meeting. Al and Cathy were singing at the time Mike and his wife Tani went to get a brew. Tani encouraged Mike to introduce himself to the couple and it wasn't long before they got together to listen to some original music of Mikes. After spending some time working on original and cover tunes together they started thinking about a drummer. Mike had met Chris several years before and was impressed with the way he played drums. It wasn't long before they all met to jam and it was clear that this was a great combination of musicians.
